Olivia Rodrigo, Chappell Roan and Tate McRae could be heading for a major week on the Billboard Hot 100, with their latest releases already generating strong early momentum. According to very early projections from Nora Music, Olivia Rodrigo and Chappell Roan’s “expectations” and Tate McRae’s “Housewife” are both tracking toward a Top 5 debut on the chart.

Although the songs have only just entered their first tracking week, their opening performances suggest that both songs could compete for some of the highest positions when Billboard publishes its ranking on October 26. The projections remain preliminary, however, and the final placements will depend on the songs’ combined performance across streaming, sales and radio airplay.

Olivia Rodrigo and Chappell Roan have already delivered an impressive first-day performance with “expectations.” The updated version debuted at No. 4 on the Daily Global Spotify Chart with 4.595 million streams, while its music video collected 6.4 million views during its first 24 hours on YouTube. The latter marked the biggest debut for a female collaboration on the platform in 2026. The track also reached No. 1 on the U.S. iTunes Songs Chart, giving the pair an immediate commercial boost ahead of the Hot 100 update.

The remix reimagines a song from Rodrigo’s third album, you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, with buoyant synthesizers, handclaps and an ’80s-inspired production. Longtime Rodrigo collaborator Dan Nigro worked on the new version alongside Mike Wise, while Roan adds a verse about a disastrous romantic encounter.

Tate McRae, meanwhile, has set a new personal streaming record with “Housewife.” Released on October 15, the single opened at No. 1 on the Daily Global Spotify Chart with 5.671 million streams, surpassing the 4.13 million opening-day plays of “Tit for Tat.” It also generated 2.7 million YouTube views in its first 24 hours and entered the top three on the U.S. iTunes chart.

The Ryan Tedder-assisted production serves as the lead single from Tate McRae’s forthcoming fourth studio album. The accompanying video, directed by Pierre-Ange Carlotti, places the singer among luxury estates and yachts in the south of France. Following the success of So Close to What, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, the release gives McRae another opportunity to extend her chart presence.

A Top 5 debut would also place the new releases alongside some of the artists’ biggest Hot 100 achievements. Olivia Rodrigo has already reached No. 1 with “drivers license,” “good 4 u,” “vampire” and “Drop Dead,” while “deja vu” and “Stupid Song” peaked at No. 3. Roan’s “The Subway” reached No. 3, and both “Good Luck, Babe!” and “Pink Pony Club” peaked at No. 4. McRae has scored a No. 1 hit with Morgan Wallen on “What I Want,” while “greedy” and “Tit for Tat” both reached No. 3.
