Olivia Rodrigo has reignited speculation about her next era with a move fans know well. On April 1, coinciding with the fifth anniversary of “Deja Vu,” the singer wiped her Instagram account, removing more than 140 posts and leaving a blank slate that typically signals a major rollout.

The timing adds weight to an already mounting series of clues pointing toward her third album. On March 20, Rodrigo updated her fan hotline with a cryptic message hinting at transformation and timing, telling listeners to “expect true clarity and renewal just after the pink moon.” That reference aligns with April’s lunar cycle, narrowing the potential window for new music. At the same time, her “OR3” mural in Los Angeles was refreshed to display a single word—“LOVE”—marking a clear aesthetic pivot.

Visual changes have reinforced the shift. Rodrigo’s official website recently transitioned away from the deep purple tones associated with GUTS toward a brighter pink palette, while a heart-shaped lock installation in London stamped with “April” quickly circulated online.

Her recent comments also point toward a creative evolution. Speaking to British Vogue, Rodrigo described the upcoming project as “very varied,” adding that she wanted to explore writing about joy, an emotional register largely absent from SOUR and GUTS.

The stakes are high. Rodrigo’s last era delivered major commercial success, with GUTS debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and spawning multiple Top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100.

Clearing an Instagram feed has become a familiar pre-release tactic, but in Rodrigo’s case, the move feels like the final piece of a larger puzzle. With the “pink moon” approaching and visual hints aligning across platforms, attention now turns to whether April will deliver the official start of her next chapter, or if there’s still one more twist before the reveal.
