RAYE is closing out the year with clarity, confidence, and a clear signal that her next era is already taking shape. On December 26, the British singer-songwriter sent a heartfelt email to fans, offering both gratitude and a meaningful update on her long-awaited sophomore album. The message teased that the project is nearing completion and is currently in its final stages.
“I think this second album is really sounding exciting. I really believe in this music, and I cannot wait for you to hear it,” RAYE wrote. “I’m in the finishing process now, so not a million miles to go.” While no further details were unveiled, the note strongly suggests that the album is on track for a 2026 release.
The update follows a career-defining run for RAYE, whose independent debut album My 21st Century Blues reshaped her trajectory. Released in 2023 after her public split from Polydor Records, the project earned widespread critical acclaim, commercial success, and historic recognition at the 2024 BRIT Awards, where RAYE broke records with multiple wins in a single night.
Alongside the album tease, RAYE also announced a limited-edition vinyl release tied to one of her proudest live moments. A special 12-inch vinyl titled Live at Montreux Jazz Festival features a live performance of her 2025 single “Where Is My Husband!” alongside an unreleased track, “I Know You’re Hurting.” The vinyl was made available at a discounted holiday price of £7.77.
In 2025, RAYE delivered the global hit “Where Is My Husband!” The song, which she co-wrote and co-produced with Mike Sabath, peaked at No. 2 in the UK and reached the top 10 in multiple countries. It also became her second top-40 entry on the Billboard Hot 100.
