ROSALÍA has publicly addressed the family emergency that forced her to postpone the opening U.S. dates of her LUX Tour 2026, delivering an emotional speech during her return to the stage in Boston on June 11.

Standing before a packed crowd at TD Garden, the Spanish superstar fought back tears as she thanked fans for their patience and explained why she had stepped away from the spotlight for several days.

It’s such a long, long journey to see you all here,” she told the audience. “Thank you for understanding. And that the loved ones need to come first.

The remarks marked the first time ROSALÍA has directly spoken about the situation that led to the postponement of three scheduled U.S. shows, including Miami and Orlando. While she did not disclose specific details about the family emergency, her message made clear how difficult the past week had been.

The singer continued by reflecting on how unexpected personal hardships can affect even the biggest moments of a career. “When something unexpected and painful happens to you, it can be hard to keep going,” she said. “But I truly believe that doing this is worth it.”

The Boston concert represented a significant moment for the LUX era. Announced as ROSALÍA’s most ambitious tour to date, the arena run supports her fourth studio album, LUX, and features a theatrical multi-act production combining elaborate visuals, ballet-inspired choreography, dramatic costume changes, and some of the strongest vocal performances of her career.

Emotion remained a central theme throughout the evening. Before performing “Mio Cristo Piange Diamanti,” ROSALÍA once again thanked the crowd for their support, acknowledging the emotional weight she had been carrying since the cancellations.
