ROSÉ has once again carved her name into K-pop history. At the 2025 MAMA Awards, the BLACKPINK star won the prestigious Song of the Year Daesang for her global hit “APT.,” a collaboration with Bruno Mars. The achievement makes her the first female K-pop soloist ever to win Song of the Year at MAMA. The track also becomes the first male–female duo to win the award in MAMA history, marking a landmark moment for both artists.

Although ROSÉ could not attend in person due to BLACKPINK’s ongoing Deadline World Tour, she delivered a heartfelt acceptance speech through a recorded video. She thanked fans for their unwavering support throughout the year and extended her gratitude to the song’s creative team. “Bruno, we got Song of the Year at MAMA!” she said with excitement. She also reflected on her long history with the MAMA stage, promising to return with “even cooler songs and amazing music.”



The historic win capped off an electrifying first night at the 2025 MAMA Awards. Held at the newly built Kai Tak Stadium on November 28, Day One showcased high-energy performances and major category reveals, setting the tone for one of the biggest music events of the year. The ceremony opened with a collaborative stage from Hearts2Hearts and NCT WISH, while additional standout sets came from MEOVV, BABYMONSTER, Yeonjun of TXT, I-DLE, Super Junior, and ENHYPEN.

Two Daesang trophies were awarded during the broadcast. Alongside ROSÉ’s victory, ENHYPEN earned Fans’ Choice of the Year. The night also saw wins across major categories for BTS members J-Hope and Jin, who secured Fans’ Choice – Male awards. Groups such as Stray Kids, aespa, IVE, and BOYNEXTDOOR also picked up trophies. As fans look ahead to Day Two of the ceremony on November 29, ROSÉ’s groundbreaking achievement stands out as one of the defining moments of the 2025 MAMA Awards.
