Sabrina Carpenter is celebrating two years of Short n’ Sweet with a surprise for fans. On the album’s second anniversary, the 27-year-old singer teased that “something sweet” will arrive tomorrow, giving fans a new reason to revisit the era that transformed her career.
In an email sent to fans, Sabrina Carpenter reflected on the impact of the album and how quickly the past two years have gone. “Short n’ Sweet, an album that completely changed my life. I feel like I blinked!!” she wrote, before thanking fans for turning the record from something that “once was mine” into something that became “ours.”
Sabrina Carpenter continued by looking back on the defining moments surrounding the project, referencing two years of late nights, recurring fan questions, “five foot representation,” innuendos and the relationship she has built with listeners throughout the era.
The message ended with a particularly intriguing tease: “p.s. something sweet drops tomorrow, see ya then!” Carpenter did not specify what the release will be, leaving fans to speculate about whether the surprise could involve previously unreleased music, a new version of an existing song, physical memorabilia or another piece of Short n’ Sweet-era content.
The timing is fitting for an album that became a major turning point in Carpenter’s career. Released on August 23, 2024, through Island Records, Short n’ Sweet became her sixth studio album and introduced a more confident pop sound built around her experiences with dating, relationships and modern romance.
Its success accelerated with “Espresso” and “Please Please Please,” both of which topped the Billboard Global 200. “Please Please Please” also gave Sabrina Carpenter her first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, while “Taste” later reached No. 2 in the United States and No. 1 in the United Kingdom.
Short n’ Sweet ultimately topped album charts in 18 countries and earned multi-platinum certifications across 10 nations. At the 67th Annual Grammy Awards, the album and its songs received six nominations, with Carpenter taking home Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Pop Solo Performance for “Espresso.”
The era also expanded beyond the studio. Sabrina launched her first arena tour in September 2024, taking Short n’ Sweet around the world before following the project with Man’s Best Friend in August 2025.
Released on August 29, 2025, Man’s Best Friend continued Carpenter’s momentum, with “Manchild” reaching No. 1 in the United States, and United Kingdom. The album also earned six Grammy nominations at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year.
