Shakira and Dua Lipa turned a year-old musical connection into a live moment in Madrid on October 3, when Lipa unexpectedly joined Shakira onstage for “Antología.” The surprise duet took place during the eighth night of Shakira’s Madrid residency at Macondo Park, giving the audience a performance that had been quietly foreshadowed by Lipa’s own version of the song in Bogotá.
The connection between the two artists began on November 28, 2025, when Dua Lipa performed “Antología” during her Radical Optimism Tour stop at Estadio El Campín in Bogotá. Singing the Shakira classic in Spanish, Lipa’s tribute caught Shakira’s attention, with the Colombian star later writing that she was “so touched to hear my song in Dua’s voice, in the same city where I wrote it years ago.”

Shakira also highlighted the unlikely geography of the moment, adding, “See how music brings us together? A girl from London and another one from Barranquilla!” Lipa responded in Spanish, calling the night beautiful and saying she loved singing the song. Nearly a year later, the two finally performed it together.
“Antología,” originally released on Shakira’s 1995 album Pies Descalzos, remains one of the defining early ballads of her career. Its appearance in Madrid had already become something of a rotating special moment during the residency, with Laura Pausini joining Shakira for the song on September 20 before Alejandro Sanz appeared on consecutive nights for “La Tortura” and “Corazón Partío.”
Around 55,000 fans were inside the temporary venue for the October 3 performance, which was livestreamed worldwide through Amazon Music, Prime Video, Fire TV and Twitch.
The twelve-date Madrid run, scheduled from September 18 through October 11, represents Shakira’s only European stop on the Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour.
The broader tour launched February 11, 2025, in Rio de Janeiro and is scheduled to conclude November 28, 2026, in Cairo. Supporting the 2024 album Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, the trek has already reached roughly 3.3 million attendees and generated more than $421 million, according to the figures provided, with a setlist spanning “La Fuerte,” “Soltera,” “TQG” and the Bizarrap collaboration alongside “Hips Don’t Lie,” “Whenever, Wherever,” “Waka Waka” and “Loba.”
