Dua Lipa delivered one of the most emotional moments of her Radical Optimism Tour during her November 28 stop at Estadio Nemesio Camacho El Campín in Bogotá, Colombia. In front of a sold-out crowd, the global pop star surprised fans with a heartfelt tribute to Shakira, performing an acoustic cover of the Colombian icon’s 1997 classic “Antología.” The stripped-down rendition, sung entirely in Spanish, highlighted both Dua’s vocal versatility and her growing connection with Latin American audiences. The singer recently revealed she is studying A-Level Spanish after passing her GCSE exam, and the performance served as a testament to her commitment to embracing local culture on tour.

The moment stood out not only for its emotional weight but also for how seamlessly Dua honored Shakira’s legacy. “Antología,” from the landmark album Pies Descalzos, is one of Shakira’s most beloved early hits and a formative song for fans across generations. Dua introduced the cover with a warm dedication spoken in fluent Spanish, expressing deep admiration for Shakira’s evolution as an artist and her global influence.

This performance also continued Dua’s tour tradition of celebrating local music legends in each country she visits. Throughout the Radical Optimism era, she has incorporated regional classics into her setlist as a way of acknowledging the cultural roots of her audience. In Argentina, she covered Soda Stereo’s “De Música Ligera,” while in Chile she delivered emotional renditions of Mon Laferte’s “Tu Falta de Querer” and La Ley’s “El Duelo.” In Peru, she even joined Mauricio Mesones onstage for a vibrant performance of “Cariñito,” creating yet another viral moment from the tour.

The Bogotá tribute quickly spread across social media, with fans praising Dua’s pronunciation, vocal restraint, and the respectful tone of her cover.

After an unforgettable night in Colombia, Dua Lipa now heads to Mexico, where she will headline three shows in Mexico City between December 1 and December 5. These performances will close the Radical Optimism Tour.
