Taylor Swift has officially confirmed what Swifties spent days decoding. On June 1, the pop superstar announced “I Knew It, I Knew You,” an original song written for Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 5, ending one of the internet’s most intense recent speculation cycles.

The reveal arrived after Swift launched a countdown earlier in the day tied to a mysterious 4 p.m. announcement, while Taylor Nation added fuel to the frenzy with a cryptic teaser: “Today’s forecast is looking cloudy.” Hours later, Swift shared the news across social media, writing: “It’s a Toy Story. You knew it! My new original song ‘I Knew It, I Knew You’ for Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 5 will be yours on June 5th.”

She also opened up about the personal significance of the collaboration, calling it a childhood dream fulfilled. “I’ve always dreamed of getting to write for these characters who I’ve adored since I was a 5 year old kid watching the first Toy Story movie,” Swift wrote. According to her post, she was invited to view the film in its early stages and composed the song immediately after the screening. “Sometimes you just know, right?” she added, teasing the track’s June 5 release while confirming Toy Story 5 will hit theaters on June 19.

The announcement validates weeks of fan detective work that had transformed social media into a full-scale decoding operation. Earlier on May 31, TikTok users reported seeing Toy Story’s iconic blue-sky-and-cloud wallpaper attached to Swift’s profile search results. Streaming listeners also spotted a subtle update across select platforms, where the letters “T” and “S” appeared capitalized across every fifth song in Swift’s catalog. Apple Music’s recent social posts emphasizing “TS” only intensified the chatter.

Speculation had already exploded on May 29 after a billboard featuring giant yellow “TS” initials and exactly 13 clouds surfaced online. Swifties immediately connected the dots to both Swift’s signature number and Andy’s bedroom wallpaper from the original 1995 Pixar classic.
