Taylor Swift has matched yet another historic chart milestone. This week, the superstar officially ties Mariah Carey as the only artists in Billboard Hot 100 history to have multiple songs spend their first six weeks at No. 1. Carey achieved the feat with “Fantasy” and her enduring Boyz II Men collaboration “One Sweet Day,” while Swift now joins her with “Anti-Hero” and her current hit, “The Fate of Ophelia.”

The accomplishment comes as “The Fate of Ophelia” logs its sixth consecutive week at No. 1, covering its entire run on the chart so far. The song extends Swift’s already remarkable track record: out of her 13 Hot 100 No. 1 hits, this is her third to lead for at least six weeks. It now stands alongside “Anti-Hero,” which dominated for eight weeks in 2022, and “Blank Space,” which reigned for seven weeks in 2014. Alongside her twelfth album The Life of a Showgirl, Taylor Swift continues her perfect streak on both of Billboard’s major charts, sitting on top since the beginning of October.
This week’s Hot 100, delayed by one day, also brings several notable movements. Newly Grammy-nominated artist Sombr earns his first top 10 hit as “Back to Friends” climbs to No. 10. Meanwhile, fresh off her SNL debut, Olivia Dean continues her upward trajectory: her single “Man I Need” advances to a new peak at No. 4.
