Taylor Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl is back at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, adding another week to one of the biggest chart runs of her career. The album moved 173,000 equivalent album units in the latest tracking week, bringing its total time at the summit to 13 weeks, while Tinashe’s Popstar arrives at No. 6 with 35,500 units for her first-ever Billboard 200 top 10.

The latest Showgirl surge comes after the release of The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore, an expanded edition featuring four new songs. Released less than a year after the original album, The Encore generated 40.5 million global Spotify streams in its first 24 hours, making it the biggest deluxe-album debut in Spotify history.

The Encore follows an extraordinary original album debut. The Life of a Showgirl opened with 4.002 million equivalent album units in the U.S., including 3,479,500 pure album sales and 680.9 million streams, setting the biggest single-week consumption total in Billboard 200 history at the time.

Taylor Swift reunited with Max Martin and Shellback for the additional material after traveling to Sweden roughly a year after Showgirl’s original release. “Patient Zero” has received the biggest visual push, with a music video starring Dakota Johnson and Colin Farrell that features underwater scenes, a bathroom sequence and a snowy cemetery. The video premiered at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards.

Every new track entered Spotify’s Daily Global top four, led by “Patient Zero” with 13.709 million first-day streams. That gave Swift the biggest Spotify song debut of 2026 by a female artist, narrowly trailing BTS’ “Swim,” which opened with roughly 14 million streams.

Tinashe’s No. 6 debut marks a major turnaround on the Billboard 200. Her previous career high came with 2014’s Aquarius, which debuted and peaked at No. 17 with approximately 18,800 first-week copies. Popstar now gives her a substantially higher chart position more than a decade after that RCA debut.

Her subsequent albums had produced increasingly modest Billboard 200 results. Nightride reached No. 89 in 2016, Joyride peaked at No. 58 in 2018, Songs for You reached No. 147 in 2019, 333 landed at No. 175 in 2021 and Quantum Baby peaked at No. 199 in 2024. BB/Ang3l did not enter the Billboard 200, although it reached No. 32 on Top Album Sales.
