Today (September 4th), The Weeknd took to social media to reveal the title of his sixth studio album, Hurry Up Tomorrow. The Canadian superstar shared a teaser for the LP, featuring a message in which he references his previous albums, After Hours and Dawn FM:

“Yesterday was fourteen years ago… We held our breath, falling into a shimmering sea in the after hours of the night… Attempted to cleanse the wounds with melodies and lights, a bulletproof bandage to shield what lies beneath. In a place where the seasons never changed, where time ceased to exist. But therein lies the problem. Today has felt like an endless spin. I keep distorting the truth, immune to the dizziness, numb to the nausea. What lies beneath—screams in silence. I look in the mirror and feel both old and new, stuck in limbo and unable to move. I still haven’t faced myself. More songs could help, but what do I have left to say? Woe is me in my gilded cage, right? The very thing that once made me invincible failed me on the world stage. A new trauma surfaced, opening floodgates. A new path awaits. When today ends, I’ll discover who I am. HURRY UP TOMORROW.”

While the album’s title has been unveiled, fans will need to be patient for the release date. Many fans instantly shared their excitement about the upcoming album, with one tweeting, “FINALLYYYYYY,” and another adding, “XO IS READY.”

Hurry Up Tomorrow will mark the conclusion of the trilogy The Weeknd began in 2020 with After Hours, which featured numerous hits including “Blinding Lights” and “Save Your Tears.” In early 2022, the second installment, Dawn FM, was released. Since then, The Weeknd has been working on the final chapter. In between, he starred in the HBO series The Idol and curated its soundtrack, as well as releasing the song “Nothing Is Lost (You Give Me Strength)” for the Avatar soundtrack.

The Weeknd is now gearing up for a one-night-only concert in Brazil on September 7th, and fans are eagerly anticipating some surprises during the show, including a possible preview of new songs.
