Tyla is not just one of music’s brightest stars but also one of pop culture’s most in-tune personalities. On Friday (October 31), the South African Grammy winner celebrated Halloween with a hilariously accurate recreation of Nevaeh’s viral laughing GIF, one of TikTok and stan Twitter’s most recognizable memes.

The original Nevaeh GIF, which gained massive traction across TikTok and X (formerly Twitter) throughout 2024 and 2025, captures the TikTok creator mid-laughter — eyes wide, smile exaggerated, and framed by a glowing ring light against a simple curtain. The clip became a universal reaction image for chaotic or relatable moments online, especially within fan communities. Tyla precisely embodied it, giving fans one of the most viral Halloween costumes of the year.

Tyla’s attention to detail was uncanny. She replicated Nevaeh’s facial expression — the wide eyes and infectious giggle — and set up a perfect backdrop, complete with the ring light glow and neutral curtain framing.

Within hours, the clip amassed over 7 million views on X, sparking widespread laughter and admiration. “One thing I’ll applaud Tyla for is that she literally understands pop culture,” one fan commented. Another wrote, “Tyla has to be the funniest celebrity in music today.”

Beyond the viral moment, Tyla is also celebrating another wave of musical success. Her latest single, “Chanel,” is gaining traction on streaming platforms with its addictive chorus — “How you say you love me? You ain’t put me in Chanel.” The track follows her summer EP WWP (We Wanna Party), bridging that release with her highly anticipated sophomore album.
