Cardi B turned her Madison Square Garden debut into a full-scale hometown spectacle on March 25, bringing out a string of surprise guests during night one of her sold-out run at MSG. The Bronx native is currently performing two back-to-back shows at the iconic venue.

The opening night of the Little Miss Drama Tour quickly escalated into a celebration of New York rap history when Lil’ Kim joined Cardi onstage. The appearance sent fans into a frenzy, with Kim leaning into the moment’s theatricality, joking to the crowd, “I don’t want y’all to think I wanted to be dramatic, Cardi dressed me,” a line that instantly ignited the arena.

Momentum continued as Cardi introduced additional guests, including Cash Cobain and Natalie Nunn. Family also played a visible role in the performance, with her children Kulture and Wave making onstage appearances that added a personal dimension to the night.

The MSG shows arrive as a defining chapter in Cardi’s current era, supporting her second studio album Am I the Drama?. Both dates sold out rapidly, prompting the addition of a second night, making her the first female rapper to sell out the venue on consecutive nights. Days before the concerts, Cardi described the experience as “overwhelming” during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, emphasizing the emotional weight of headlining the arena in her home city.

Guest-heavy performances have become a signature element of the tour since its February launch. In Los Angeles, GloRilla joined her for “Tomorrow 2,” while Kehlani appeared for “Safe” and “Folded.” Another stop featured Tyla performing “Nice Guy” and “Chanel,” with Blueface briefly stepping in for “Thotiana.” On March 15 in Detroit, Kash Doll joined the lineup.
