Drake has sent another clear message to anyone considering taking aim at him. During his first livestream in months, the Toronto superstar reflected on one of the most dominant stretches of his career before delivering a pointed warning: “These guys are dropping albums, like hello and goodbye, and careful with that reply cuz the pen isn’t dry.”
The remark immediately sparked discussion among fans, who interpreted it as Drake reminding the rap world that he is still ready to respond lyrically if another feud emerges.
The comments came as Drake celebrated the success of his unprecedented May 15, 2026 rollout, when he simultaneously released ICEMAN, Habibti, and Maid of Honour. The ambitious three-album drop rewrote Billboard history, making him the first artist ever to occupy the top three positions on the Billboard 200 simultaneously. ICEMAN debuted at No. 1 with 463,000 equivalent album units, while the companion projects entered at Nos. 2 and 3.
Streaming numbers reinforced that dominance. ICEMAN has already surpassed 1.7 billion Spotify streams, while Drake recorded the biggest single-day streaming total by any artist in 2026. Lead single “Make Them Cry” also became one of the year’s biggest hip-hop streaming debuts.

Drake’s latest statement also carries extra weight given the aftermath of the widely publicized battle with Kendrick Lamar. Although Drake spent much of ICEMAN responding to critics and revisiting several rivalries—including lyrical shots aimed at Kendrick Lamar, DJ Khaled, LeBron James, and A$AP Rocky—his newest comments suggest he still has plenty left to say if challenged again.
The timing is especially notable. Just days earlier, photos surfaced showing Drake back inside his home studio at The Embassy, recording fresh vocals. Those images fueled speculation that another project could already be underway despite the enormous success of his triple-album campaign. The rapper also recently reflected on his momentum with an Instagram caption reading, “I spent the last 24 months proving myself right. Of course I’m about to have the summer of my life.”
