J. Cole has opened a new chapter of his career with a commanding debut on Spotify. The Fall-Off posts one of the biggest streaming launches of 2026 so far. The album earned 35.02 million streams in its first full day on the platform. This marks the second-largest album debut of the year to date, behind only A$AP Rocky’s Don’t Be Dumb.
Released on February 6, The Fall-Off spans 22 tracks and arrived with immediate global impact. Eleven songs from the project debuted on Spotify’s Global chart. Leading the album’s early momentum is “Two Six,” which entered at No. 21 with 3.15 million streams. The strong showing continued throughout the chart. Notably, “SAFETY” opened at No. 36, followed closely by “Run A Train,” “Poor Thang,” and “29 Intro,” all surpassing the two-million-stream mark in their first day.
Deeper cuts also found substantial traction. Tracks such as “Bunce Road Blues,” “Legacy,” and “WHO TF IZ U” secured spots within the Global Top 100. In addition, later entries including “Drum n Bass,” “The Let Out,” and “Bombs in the Ville / Hit the Gas” rounded out the album’s chart presence.
The Fall-Off arrives after years of anticipation and is framed by Cole as the closing statement of his recording career. Designed as a double-disc album, the project revisits themes that have followed him since Cole World: The Sideline Story. He confronts ambition, longevity, and self-examination. The release also marks his first full-length studio album since The Off-Season in 2021. That album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and delivered the biggest streaming week of its release year.
With early streaming figures pointing toward a strong opening week, The Fall-Off is expected to make a significant debut on the Billboard 200.
