JAY-Z is giving fans another way to celebrate three decades of his landmark debut. The rapper has announced a virtual listening party for September 3 as part of the JAŸ-Z30 campaign, bringing together milestones from Reasonable Doubt and The Blueprint just one day before his highly anticipated London shows.
The official virtual listening party will begin at 2 p.m. ET on Stationhead, with the event tied directly to the JAŸ-Z30 celebration. Fans will also have the chance to win a vinyl test pressing during the livestream, adding a collectible element to an event centered on two of JAY-Z’s most influential albums.
JAŸ-Z30 commemorates the 30th anniversary of Reasonable Doubt, which was released in 1996, alongside the 25th anniversary of The Blueprint, which arrived in 2001. The campaign has expanded beyond music with pop-ups, immersive experiences and live events planned across major cities throughout 2026.
JAY-Z is scheduled to take the stage at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on September 4 and 5, with both dates sold out as part of his JAY-Z30 concert run. The stadium performances are expected to continue the anniversary celebrations with a career-spanning set built around material from across his catalog.
The virtual event follows a cryptic period surrounding Roc Nation. On August 31, the company posted a mysterious visual featuring stacked CRT monitors, SMPTE color bars and the message “STAY TUNED 01 SEPT 2026,” prompting immediate speculation about a possible JAY-Z announcement.
Rumors of a new JAY-Z album had already resurfaced earlier this month after music executive Ray Daniels claimed that the rapper’s long-awaited follow-up to 4:44 was finished. Roc Nation subsequently dismissed those reports as “Fake news,” leaving fans without confirmation of a new studio project.
The latest announcement does not indicate that new music is on the way, instead keeping the focus on JAŸ-Z30 and the historical significance of the two albums. Reasonable Doubt introduced JAY-Z as a major new voice in hip-hop, while The Blueprint later became one of the defining albums of his career and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
