The Game is officially bringing back one of hip-hop’s most celebrated album series. The Compton rapper has announced The Documentary 3, revealing that the long-awaited project arrives tonight alongside a star-studded guest lineup led by Drake, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, PartyNextDoor and Snoop Dogg.

The announcement arrived with striking black-and-white cover art depicting The Game crouched beside an overturned car. At the same time, the rapper unveiled an expansive list of collaborators spanning established rap icons and a new generation of West Coast talent.

Among the featured artists are Drake, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, PartyNextDoor, Snoop Dogg, Larry June, Leon Thomas, YG, AZ Chike, Black Thought, Drakeo the Ruler, Lefty Gunplay, RJMrLA, Mike & Keys, and Tyga. The lineup immediately sparked excitement across social media, particularly because it reunites The Game with several longtime collaborators.

The Documentary 3 serves as the direct follow-up to The Documentary 2 and The Documentary 2.5, released one week apart in October 2015. Those projects expanded on the legacy of The Documentary, the rapper’s landmark 2005 debut, which established him as one of the defining voices of West Coast hip-hop. The Documentary 2.5 debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard 200 and featured appearances from Nas, ScHoolboy Q, Jay Rock, DJ Quik, Busta Rhymes and will.i.am, continuing the series’ tradition of heavyweight collaborations.

The new release also marks The Game’s first studio album since Drillmatic – Heart vs. Mind, which arrived in August 2022. That 30-track project included contributions from Kanye West, Drake, Big Sean, Timbaland, Swizz Beatz, Mike Dean and Hit-Boy, while generating headlines for songs such as “Eazy” and “The Black Slim Shady.”
