Vingard is an emerging artist from Nørresundby, Denmark. Growing up in this close-knit community, she found solace in the melodies that danced through the air. Her music is a gathering of puzzle pieces, blending elements of Americana, folk, country, and pop. Her incredible talent drew comparisons with icons such as Joni Mitchell and Taylor Swift, but she maintains humility as her goal is to pour herself into her songs.
Today (April 19th), Vingard releases her new single “Save Your Worries.” The song is inspired by “those fleeting moments of bliss overshadowed by performance anxiety, and the relentless pace of the world.”
In her exclusive interview with InMusic, Vingard delves deep into the origins of her sound, explores the essence of her latest single, and uncovers the profound messages she seeks to convey through her music.

How would you define your music?
Present, honest, energetic, and heading towards the borderlands of the genre.
You have been compared to icons such as Joni Mitchell and Taylor Swift. How do you relate tothese comparisons?
Being compared to such talented women is overwhelming, and I approach it with a deep sense of
humility. To me, it’s all about the honesty we share through music. Regardless of age, career, genre,
or anything else, it’s about daring to step forward and pour yourself into the music.

Can you tell us about your new single “Save Your Worries”?
My new single is brimming with that aforementioned honesty, infused with a surge of energy. For me, it’s about pushing through the darkness and yearning for the light and joy of spring.
What is the meaning behind this song?
“Save Your Worries” is inspired by those fleeting moments of bliss overshadowed by performance anxiety, and the relentless pace of the world. I’m someone who always has a lot on the go, relishing the momentum when things go well, yet still seeking that button that can occasionally pause it all and let me just savor the moment.

Looking back, last year you dropped your debut album “In The Long Run,” which garnered significant attention and praise. Did you expect it to achieve such widespread popularity and praise?
I definitely had high hopes for my debut album—naturally, I suppose, when you pour your heart and soul into a collective work. But I was also acutely aware that there was a chance it might disappear into a void amidst the sea of releases. That’s why the many wonderful reviews and airplay have meant so much more!
What is a message you would like to give through your music and why?
The opportunity to propel my own progress into the lives of others deeply touches me—it’s a kindness I’m eager to pay forward! Through my music, I aim to carve out space for emotions and reflections, hoping to show people they’re not alone in theirs.
Write here something you want to let people know.
I adore involving people in my songwriting process, weaving their anecdotes into my melodies. On
my website (vingardmusic.com), there’s a mailing list where folks can sign up — I reach out through that when I’m crafting new songs, and I’d absolutely love to write a song where your story finds its tune!
