Jhené Aiko has revealed the full tracklist for Westside Whimsy, her long-awaited new album arriving Friday, September 11 via Def Jam. The 20-track project features Kendrick Lamar, Larry June, Ab-Soul, Tyga and OHMA, adding a star-studded West Coast dimension to her first full-length album in six years.
Westside Whimsy opens with “Love Bomb” featuring Ab-Soul and continues with a sprawling 20-song tracklist that brings together established rap collaborators and newer voices. Among the most anticipated pairings is “So Good” featuring Kendrick Lamar, marking another collaboration between Aiko and the Compton rapper after “Stay Ready (What a Life),” which appeared on her 2014 album Souled Out and was later certified platinum in the U.S.

The album also includes “Neighbors” with Larry June, “Like, Whatever” featuring Tyga and “Golden Coast” with OHMA. The guest list reinforces the West Coast identity suggested by the album’s title and artwork, with Aiko previously teasing a visual world shaped by beach imagery and car culture. The announcement comes only one day after Aiko confirmed Westside Whimsy, ending a six-year wait for a new studio album. Until the tracklist reveal, the singer had kept details about the project largely under wraps, including its collaborators and the scope of its 20-song tracklist.
Westside Whimsy follows Chilombo, which arrived March 6, 2020, through ArtClub International, ARTium Recordings and Def Jam Recordings. The album debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 with 152,000 equivalent album units in its opening week and went platinum in January 2021.
Chilombo became one of the defining releases of Jhené Aiko’s career, pairing contemporary R&B with a tranquil, atmospheric sound influenced by Hawaii. Traditional singing bowls were incorporated throughout the production, while Aiko served as executive producer and worked closely with longtime collaborators Fisticuffs and Lejkeys. The album featured Nas, Ab-Soul, Big Sean, Future, Ty Dolla $ign, John Legend, Miguel and H.E.R., while its deluxe edition added Kehlani, Mila J, Chris Brown, Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa.
The project earned three Grammy nominations, including Album of the Year and Best Progressive R&B Album, while “Lightning & Thunder” featuring John Legend was nominated for Best R&B Performance. Aiko later released The Magic Hour Collection in late 2024, bringing together key songs from her catalog alongside “guidance,” which earned her seventh Grammy nomination for Best R&B Performance.
