BTS continue to rewrite the streaming record books. The group’s blockbuster album ARIRANG has officially surpassed 3 billion streams on Spotify, becoming the fastest album by a group in history to reach the milestone.
The achievement adds yet another chapter to one of the most dominant album campaigns of 2026 and arrives during BTS FESTA celebrations, as the group marks the 13th anniversary of its debut.
With the new milestone, ARIRANG becomes BTS’ sixth album to cross the 3 billion-stream mark on Spotify. Among the group’s catalog, Be remains their most-streamed project with 4.5 billion streams, followed by Love Yourself: Tear at 4.1 billion and Wings at 3.9 billion.
The speed of ARIRANG’s rise makes the accomplishment even more remarkable. Released on March 20, the album immediately established itself as a streaming juggernaut. It debuted with 110 million streams on its first day, setting a new record for the biggest opening day ever achieved by a K-pop album and the largest debut day of 2026 across all genres.
Momentum only intensified from there. During its first week, ARIRANG accumulated more than 545 million streams globally, becoming the biggest opening week of the year on Spotify and one of the largest in the platform’s history.
Back in April, the album already made headlines after surpassing 1 billion streams in just 16 days. That feat established a new benchmark for the fastest album by a group and the fastest project by any Asian act to reach the mark. Less than three months later, the album has now tripled that total.
Much of the project’s success has been fueled by multiple breakout tracks. “Swim” emerged as the album’s defining hit, spending 25 days atop Spotify’s Daily Global Chart while surpassing 500 million streams. Other standout tracks such as “Body to Body,” “Hooligan,” “FYA,” and “2.0” have also posted massive streaming numbers, helping sustain the album’s momentum long after release week.
The latest milestone arrives at a particularly active moment for BTS. FESTA 2026 has brought a steady stream of new content, including BTS Family Photo, B Side Film, Normal Log, and the return of Run BTS! 2.0. The group also released the anniversary single “Come Over” on June 12, a reunion-themed track centered on longing, connection, and the bond between BTS and ARMY following the group’s extended hiatus.
Additional content from the ARIRANG era is already on the horizon. BTS recently confirmed that a Spotify-exclusive music video for “Merry Go Round” will premiere on June 19 through Spotify’s K-Pop ON! Hub, marking the fourth visual release from the album following “Swim,” “Hooligan,” and “2.0.”
