EVAN, formerly known as ENHYPEN’s Lee Heeseung, has officially set his solo debut in motion with “RIDE OR DIE,” arriving June 22, 2026. The announcement lands just months after his departure from the HYBE group, marking the first fully defined step in a rebrand that has been closely watched across K-pop fandoms and industry circles alike. A teaser shared June 10 across his newly launched official accounts confirmed the single title and release date.

Lee Heeseung exited ENHYPEN in March 2026 following “musical differences,” according to BELIFT LAB, closing a five-year chapter that began with the group’s November 2020 debut through I-LAND. Within that framework, ENHYPEN became one of the most consistent HYBE acts of the post-BTS generation, maintaining a seven-member lineup for more than half a decade before shifting to six members: Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Jungwon, and Ni-ki.

Under the EVAN moniker, the artist is positioning himself away from his established group identity and toward what has been described as an “alternate dimension” of his creative persona. The name change is not cosmetic; it reflects a deliberate reset intended to separate his solo output from his ENHYPEN-era vocal and performance identity. Early label descriptions frame EVAN as a “versatile vocalist defined by a trendy, sophisticated tone,” with emphasis placed on autonomy and self-directed artistry rather than pre-set group dynamics.

His exit from ENHYPEN earlier this year was formally confirmed on March 15, 2026, following initial discussions reported on March 10. BELIFT LAB described the decision as the result of “extensive and in-depth discussions” about artistic direction. The response from fans was immediate, with a petition calling for dual group and solo activity surpassing one million signatures within 24 hours of the announcement.
