Jennie’s performance from the Melon Music Awards 2025 has been taken down from Melon’s official YouTube channel following a copyright claim issued by Sony Music Entertainment. The video, which had surpassed 30 million views, is now blocked worldwide.

The removal comes months after the ceremony, held on December 20, 2025, at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul. Jennie’s stage quickly became one of the most appreciated moments of the night, drawing widespread acclaim.

The BLACKPINK star delivered a medley of “Seoul City,” “ZEN,” and “like JENNIE,” combining live vocals with intricate choreography. The performance was widely praised for her stage presence and quickly gained traction online, becoming one of the most viewed clips from the event. Its impact extended beyond viewership. During the ceremony, Jennie won two awards, including the prestigious Record of the Year (Daesang), marking a major achievement in her solo career.

The performance was also closely tied to her debut album Ruby, released on March 7, 2025. The project marked her first full-length release after departing YG Entertainment as a solo artist and achieved strong commercial results globally.

Ruby debuted in the top 10 across 19 countries and recorded more than 660,000 first-week sales in South Korea, the highest for a K-pop female soloist in 2025. In the United States, the album entered the Billboard 200 at No. 7, tying Lisa for the second-highest-charting album by a K-pop female soloist at the time, behind Rosé and her album Rosie. The project also produced multiple charting singles, including “Mantra,” which peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Global 200, and “like JENNIE,” which reached No. 1 on the Circle Digital Chart.

The album’s success has continued into 2026. Ruby recently marked its one-year anniversary, with Jennie releasing a special edition to celebrate the milestone. The project has also surpassed 2.6 billion streams on Spotify.

Meanwhile, Jennie continues to expand her global reach. She is set to headline Lollapalooza Chicago, while her track “Dracula (Remix)” continues to climb the Spotify Daily Global Chart.
