LE SSERAFIM fans have received encouraging news as Kim Chaewon is officially returning to group activities after stepping away earlier this month due to health concerns. Source Music confirmed that the group’s leader will resume her scheduled commitments beginning next week following a period of treatment and rest.
In a statement shared on June 18, the agency thanked fans for their patience and support throughout Chaewon’s recovery process.
“We would like to express our sincere gratitude to fans who have patiently waited for LE SSERAFIM member KIM CHAEWON’s recovery and continuously shown their unwavering support and love,” Source Music stated. “KIM CHAEWON has been focusing on recovery through treatment and rest. As her condition has improved, she will participate in her scheduled activities starting next week. We sincerely thank the fans who have patiently waited, and we ask for your continued support going forward.”
The announcement comes nearly two weeks after Source Music revealed that Chaewon would miss the 2026 Weverse Con Festival due to neck pain. At the time, the company explained that she had received hospital treatment and was advised by medical professionals to temporarily suspend activities while focusing on recovery.
On June 5, the agency stated that although her condition was improving, doctors recommended additional rest and close monitoring before she could safely return to promotional schedules. The company also noted that it was unable to provide a timeline for her comeback, leaving many fans uncertain about when she would rejoin the group.
Her return arrives during a particularly active chapter for LE SSERAFIM. The quintet is currently promoting PUREFLOW Pt. 1, which debuted at No. 10 on the Billboard 200 with 41,000 equivalent album units. The achievement marked the group’s fifth top-10 entry on the chart.
Momentum surrounding the project has remained strong thanks to singles including “Celebration” and “BOOMPALA.” Earlier this month, “Celebration” gained additional exposure through “CELEBRATION (Supergirl Ver.),” a collaboration tied to the upcoming SUPERGIRL film campaign.
Beyond their own releases, LE SSERAFIM recently joined forces with ILLIT and KATSEYE on “Iconic By Mistake,” one of HYBE’s most ambitious crossover collaborations to date.
