LISA is giving fans a closer look at the story behind her upcoming EP PRESS PLAY. During her first appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on September 16, the BLACKPINK member explained how the six-track project connects her Thai roots with the person she has become today, while also revealing that Track 4 will be the EP’s next single.
“This EP is about my journey from my roots to wherever I am right now, today,” LISA told Fallon. She explained that Thai elements are present throughout the project, with each song designed to have its own identity before coming together as one complete experience.

“There is a lot of Thai elements in the songs, EP,” she said. “Every single song has their own character, their own vibe and when we combine it together, it’s like a movie so just press play.”
The concept gives PRESS PLAY a clear connection to LISA’s identity beyond its title. Rather than presenting the six songs as separate releases, she described the EP as a body of work in which different sounds and moods form a larger narrative, beginning with her roots and moving toward her current life and career.
LISA also used the Tonight Show appearance to reveal what comes next. Track 4 from PRESS PLAY will serve as the next single, although she stopped short of giving away the full title. The singer teased that its name begins with the letter “T,” leaving fans to speculate about which song from the tracklist will follow “SaWaDiKa.”
The announcement comes as “SaWaDiKa” continues its rollout as the opening taste of PRESS PLAY. Released September 4 through Lloud and RCA, the dance-pop track debuted at No. 69 on the Billboard Hot 100 dated September 19, giving LISA seven entries on the chart and tying JENNIE for the most Hot 100 appearances among female K-pop soloists.
“SaWaDiKa” also gave the upcoming EP a strong visual launch. Its Bangkok-shot music video, directed by Joseph Kahn, opened with approximately 70.8 million views in its first 24 hours. The song itself has surpassed 13 million Spotify streams in its first two weeks, while its title draws from the Thai greeting “sawatdi kha,” reinforcing the connection between LISA’s latest solo era and her background.
PRESS PLAY is scheduled for release October 23 and will follow LISA’s 2025 debut solo album Alter Ego, which reached No. 7 on the Billboard 200. The new project arrives alongside her documentary Always Lalisa and her first Las Vegas residency, VIVA LA LISA, at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in November.
