ROSÉ has reached a new milestone in K-pop history. Her debut solo album Rosie has officially surpassed 4 billion streams on Spotify, becoming the first album by a K-pop female soloist ever to achieve the feat.

The achievement further cements ROSÉ’s status as one of the most successful solo artists to emerge from the K-pop industry. Released on December 6, 2024, through The Black Label and Atlantic Records, Rosie marked the singer’s first full-length project following her departure from YG Entertainment and Interscope Records in 2023. Nearly two years later, the album continues to generate massive streaming numbers worldwide.

With 4 billion streams now accumulated, Rosie becomes just the second project by a K-pop female act to cross the landmark threshold. The only other release to achieve the milestone is BLACKPINK’s The Album.

The record also maintains a significant lead among female K-pop soloists. Earlier this week, JENNIE’s debut album Ruby surpassed 3 billion Spotify streams, becoming the second solo project by a female K-pop artist to reach that level. While Ruby continues its impressive trajectory, Rosie remains firmly in first place.

Looking at the broader K-pop market, only a handful of albums have generated more Spotify streams than ROSÉ’s debut effort. Among them are Jung Kook’s Golden, which has surpassed 7 billion streams, Jimin’s Muse with more than 4 billion, BTS’ BE with over 4.5 billion, and Love Yourself: Tear with more than 4.1 billion streams. That places Rosie among the most-streamed K-pop albums ever released.

Much of the album’s success has been driven by the global phenomenon “APT.”, ROSÉ’s collaboration with Bruno Mars. The track recently surpassed 2.5 billion Spotify streams, making it one of the most-streamed collaborations in music history. Upon release, the single topped the Billboard Global 200 and reached No. 3 on both the Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Singles Chart.

The album’s streaming performance extends well beyond its biggest hit. “toxic till the end” has amassed more than 446 million streams on Spotify, while “number one girl” has crossed 342 million.

Commercially, Rosie proved to be a defining moment in ROSÉ’s solo career. The album debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, becoming the highest-charting album by a K-pop female soloist at the time and earning a Guinness World Record. It also entered the top 10 across multiple major markets, including the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, Germany, and South Korea.
