Olivia Rodrigo is officially headed to Fortnite. After days of speculation fueled by in-game references and social media clues, Fortnite confirmed on June 25 that the pop superstar will join the game as part of a new cosmetic collaboration launching tonight.

The announcement arrived with a seven-second cinematic teaser posted across Fortnite’s social channels alongside the caption: “I think we might go really nice together.” The video showcases a stylized version of Rodrigo in a pink outfit with oversized butterfly wings standing in a flower-filled landscape. Other shots feature glowing visual effects, playful stickers, chunky sneakers, and a bedroom scene where she creates a massive flaming heart on the floor.

Based on the teaser, players will be able to choose between two Olivia Rodrigo-inspired skins. One appears heavily influenced by the visual identity of her current album, you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, featuring the pink aesthetic that has defined the era. The second recreates the iconic cheerleader look from her 2021 smash hit “good 4 u,” one of the most recognizable visuals from her career.

The confirmation follows nearly a week of growing rumors. Earlier this week, Fortnite players discovered a pink swing hidden on the map southeast of Sinister Strip. Nearby, a heart carved into a tree featured the phrase “you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love,” directly referencing Rodrigo’s latest album title.

Additional speculation emerged when Olivia Rodrigo’s official fan account, @LiviesHQ, shared a video of the singer playing Fortnite accompanied by the phrase “where we dropping?” — a phrase instantly recognizable to Fortnite players. Combined with the in-game clues, many fans correctly predicted that a collaboration announcement was imminent.

Timing also aligns perfectly with Rodrigo’s current commercial peak. Her third studio album, you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, has become one of 2026’s biggest releases. The project generated 401.7 million Spotify streams during its first week, the strongest streaming debut of her career. The album also topped the Billboard 200, earning the biggest week of the year by a solo artist.

Fortnite has increasingly become a destination for major music partnerships. Over the last year alone, the game has welcomed collaborations with Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, LISA, Snoop Dogg, Bruno Mars, and Laufey, who recently headlined Season 14 of Fortnite Festival. Rodrigo now joins a growing list of artists using Epic Games’ platform to extend their reach beyond streaming and touring.
