Selena Gomez has made her return to music with I Said I Love You First, a joint album with her fiancé, Benny Blanco. The couple explores their romantic relationship, celebrating their love from the 2019 single “I Can’t Get Enough” to “Scared of Loving You.”

The album opens with the title track, which incorporates the farewell speech Selena gave to her Wizards of Waverly Place co-stars. She also pays tribute to the iconic series in the music video for “Younger and Hotter Than Me,” where she recreates the beloved set.

The album features guest appearances from Gracie Abrams and The Marías, along with a surprise feature from GloRilla, who closes “Cowboy.” Sonically, the LP is primarily a pop record, with tracks like “Don’t Wanna Cry” leaning into the disco genre. Additionally, “Bluest Flame,” co-written by Charli XCX, exudes the energy of BRAT. The vocals are Selena’s, but Charli’s influence is unmistakable.

Overall, I Said I Love You First consists of 14 tracks, with InMusic’s ranking listed below.
