With Valentine’s Day around the corner, what’s better than some new music? Charli xcx leads this New Music Friday with Wuthering Heights, an original soundtrack created for Emerald Fennell’s film adaptation of Emily Brontë’s novel, starring Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi. The 12-track project marks Charli’s second full soundtrack effort and arrives the same day as the film’s theatrical debut.
Brent Faiyaz returns with a different kind of recalibration. Icon, his third studio album, arrives independently through ISO Supremacy and UnitedMasters after a last-minute delay last year. The original version was scrapped on the eve of its release. What remains is a tighter, guest-free statement executive produced by Raphael Saadiq. Across 10 tracks, Faiyaz leans into classic soul textures while maintaining the sleek edges of contemporary R&B.
Noteworthy releases also come from Central Cee, Danny L Harle & Dua Lipa, Victoria Monét, Ella Langley, Meghan Trainor, A Boogie wit da Hoodie, and more.
