BIA has officially responded to Cardi B’s pointed lyric on “Pretty & Petty”, a diss track from Cardi’s new album Am I The Drama? that reignited tensions among female rappers. In a new interview with HOT 97, BIA addressed the controversy directly, choosing a composed and empathetic tone rather than adding more fuel to the feud.
“Girl, go enjoy your pregnancy,” BIA said when asked about the viral diss. “I don’t want to get on your ass again, or say something that’s going to hurt your feelings and make me look like the bad guy because I’m talking about somebody with a baby.”
The “Cover Girl” rapper went on to explain that she didn’t want negativity to follow her words or actions. “That’s not the energy I’m on,” she added. “My mother didn’t raise me to be dragging a pregnant lady.”

Her response comes weeks after Cardi B released her long-awaited sophomore album Am I The Drama?, which immediately sparked controversy for its bold and unfiltered lyrics. On the track “Pretty & Petty,” Cardi took a direct shot at BIA, rapping: “Name five BIA songs gun pointed to your head, bow b***h you dead.”
According to Cardi, the diss stemmed from comments she claims BIA made about her children and her marriage to Offset. However, BIA has repeatedly denied speaking negatively about Cardi’s family, choosing to rise above the online chatter instead.
Cardi’s new album, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, is filled with fiery verses and big-name collaborations, featuring Megan Thee Stallion, Selena Gomez, Summer Walker, Kehlani, and Tyla. Much of the public attention has centered on its disses—particularly the shots aimed at Nicki Minaj, JT of City Girls, and BIA. The latter is now gearing to release her highly anticipated debut album, Bianca, dropping tonight.
