The BRIT Awards 2026 took place at Manchester’s Co-op Live arena. For the first time since the awards were established in 1977, the BRITs are being held outside London, marking a historic milestone for the event.
Olivia Dean emerged as the night’s biggest winner, taking home four awards, including Artist of the Year, Album of the Year (The Art of Loving), Song of the Year and Best Pop Act. ROSÉ made history as the first K-pop artist to win a Brit award (International Song of the Year), while Rosalía secured International Artist of the Year.
This year’s nominations were led by Lola Young and Olivia Dean, who entered the night with five nods each. Sam Fender followed closely with four nominations. Lily Allen, Dave, Wolf Alice, and Jim Legxacy each secured three nods. In the International categories, nominees included Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, ROSÉ, Lady Gaga, Chappell Roan, and Sabrina Carpenter.
One of the first major moments of the evening saw PinkPantheress win Producer of the Year, making history as the first woman — and the youngest artist — ever to receive the award.
Earlier in the rollout, Scottish art-folk artist Jacob Alon was announced as the recipient of the prestigious Critics’ Choice Award, supported by BBC Radio 1.
This year’s trophy was designed by acclaimed British designer Matthew Williamson, incorporating bespoke creative elements inspired by the host city of Manchester.
