The BRIT Awards have officially announced the nominations for the 2026 ceremony. Lola Young and Olivia Dean lead the pack with five nominations each. Notably, Young secured nominations for Artist of the Year and Song of the Year (“Messy”). Dean landed nods in all three major categories: Artist of the Year, Album of the Year (The Art of Loving), and Song of the Year (“Man I Need”).
Sam Fender closely follows with four nominations, while Lily Allen, Dave, Wolf Alice, and Jim Legxacy secured three nominations each. Notably, Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, ROSÉ, Lady Gaga, Chappell Roan, and Sabrina Carpenter earned nominations in the International categories.
Scottish art-folk artist Jacob Alon has been announced as the recipient of the prestigious Critics’ Choice Award, supported by BBC Radio 1. Alon emerged victorious over fellow shortlisted nominees Rose Gray and Sienna Spiro, securing one of the ceremony’s most respected early honors. The Critics’ Choice Award is widely regarded as a key platform for breakthrough British talent, with past winners including Adele, Florence + the Machine, and Ellie Goulding.
The 2026 BRIT Awards will take place on Saturday, February 28, at Manchester’s Co-op Live arena, marking a historic milestone for the ceremony. It will be the first time the BRITs are held outside London since the awards were established in 1977.
This year’s trophy has been designed by acclaimed British designer Matthew Williamson, featuring bespoke creative elements inspired by the host city of Manchester.
