Damiano David is ready to take listeners deep into his emotions and vulnerability with his debut solo album, Funny Little Fears. The frontman of Italian rock band Måneskin unveils his first solo project this Friday, May 16. Unlike his work with the band, the album marks a significant departure from glam-rock roots, venturing into a more introspective and pop-leaning sound. The Path to Funny Little Fears
Back in January 2024, Damiano launched his solo career with the release of his debut single, “Silverlines.” Produced by Labrinth, the track marked a departure from Måneskin’s rock-heavy sound, showcasing a more personal side of the 26-year-old artist. He followed it with the heartfelt ballad “Born with a Broken Heart.” “Next Summer” and “Voices” were later released as the third and fourth singles from the album.
Speaking about the project, Damiano said: “I’ve always been afraid of heights, that any moment the ground breaks apart under my feet… I wrote myself a manual. Hope you find it helpful too. I called it FUNNY little FEARS.”
Each single was accompanied by a cinematic visual theme. Ahead of the album’s release, Damiano also unveiled a short film titled FUNNY little STORIES. Set in a desert landscape, the film features four songs from the album: “Mars,” “Sick of Myself,” “Perfect Life,” and “Solitude (No One Understands Me).”
To support the album, Damiano will embark on his first solo world tour, kicking off on September 11 and wrapping up in December after 34 shows across Asia, Australia, Europe, North America, and South America.
