Doja Cat has confirmed that new music is already in the works, teasing a “bubbly” and “futuristic” sound in a recent interview with Vogue. The popstar revealed that the project is nearing release, though she has not yet decided whether it will arrive as a deluxe edition of Vie or as a standalone EP.

Doja hinted at a brighter, more playful sonic palette compared to some of her recent work, while still pushing into experimental territory that has defined much of her catalog.

That update arrives less than a year after Vie. Released in summer 2025, the album marked a return to a pop-driven sound, blending pop, hip-hop, and R&B with touches of funk-pop, disco, and 1980s-inspired production. It debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 with 57,000 album-equivalent units in its first week.

Several tracks quickly gained traction. “Jealous Type” and “Gorgeous” emerged as standout singles, helping sustain the project’s commercial performance.

Vie followed the global success of Planet Her, which produced multiple top 20 hits on the Billboard Hot 100, including “Kiss Me More” and “Woman,” and peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200. The deluxe of Planet Her was nominated for Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album at the 64th Grammy Awards.

Touring continues alongside the rollout. Doja is currently on her Tour Ma Vie World Tour, which began on November 18, 2025, in Auckland and is scheduled to conclude on December 1, 2026, in New York.
