Doja Cat has fans buzzing once again. Fresh off the release of her new single “Jealous Type” and ahead of her upcoming album Vie, the Grammy-winning artist revealed that she is rehearsing for a secret project. In a new interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, Doja hinted at something “fun” in the works—before her manager quickly signaled for her not to spill details.

I have that tour coming up, and I’m rehearsing for some other, you know, fun thing,” Doja told Lowe. “My manager is saying, ‘Don’t say it.’ OK, he’s shaking his head. I’m not gonna say it. I want to.” The playful exchange has only fueled speculation about what Doja might be planning.

The teaser comes during a pivotal moment in Doja Cat’s career. Just a few hours ago, she launched her new era with “Jealous Type,” the first single from her fifth studio album Vie, due September 26 via Kemosabe and RCA Records. The track, produced by Jack Antonoff, blends retro pop textures with Doja’s playful edge, departing from the darker rap-driven style of her 2023 album Scarlet.

In her recent interview with V Magazine, Doja described Vie as her most pop-focused project yet. She revealed the 15-track record will embrace vintage influences from the late ’70s and ’80s while leaning into raw honesty and imperfection.

Adding to the excitement, Doja Cat is preparing to take her new music worldwide with her Tour Ma Vie. The trek kicks off November 18 in Auckland, New Zealand, before continuing through Australia and Asia, with more European and North American dates to follow. It will be her first international tour since Scarlet in 2023, marking a major return to global stages.
