Several of these tracks have already been road-tested. During his Las Vegas residency in January, Zayn debuted unreleased material live for the first time, performing “Used to the Blues,” “Die for Me,” “Fatal,” and “Take Turns,” offering audiences an early glimpse into the album’s emotional core.
“Sideways” now becomes the next key moment. The track, previously teased through a short preview, has been singled out by Zayn as one of his personal favorites on the record, alongside “Used to the Blues” and “Side Effects,” as revealed during his recent appearance on the Call Her Daddy hosted by Alex Cooper.
That interview offered rare insight into his mindset. Reflecting on the project, Zayn emphasized personal growth and artistic evolution, stating that he values the continued engagement of listeners while focusing on a deeper understanding of himself through music.
The album arrives as a follow-up to 2024’s Room Under the Stairs. That project, largely self-produced with Dave Cobb, debuted at No. 3 on the UK Albums Chart and No. 15 on the Billboard 200, marking a shift toward a more stripped-back and introspective sound.
Zayn will return to the road to support the album. The Konnakol Tour, a 31-date international run produced by Live Nation, begins May 12 at Manchester’s AO Arena and concludes November 20 at Miami’s Kaseya Center, spanning Europe and the Americas with arena and stadium dates. This marks the largest solo tour of his career. It also represents his first time executing a multi-continent production on this scale.
