Drake is entering the final stretch of his next era. In a recent livestream, the Canadian superstar confirmed that he is finishing work on ICEMAN and preparing for what he described as one last recording trip before the album’s release.
“I’m going on a last recording trip,” Drake told viewers. “There’s plenty to talk about. We’ll talk about it.” He later added a sharper warning: “ICEMAN coming soon — y’all boys better duck and get out the way.”
The comments signal that Drake’s ninth studio album is nearing completion. ICEMAN, expected via OVO Sound and Republic Records, will mark his first full-length solo release since For All the Dogs in 2023 and his first major statement following his highly publicized feud with Kendrick Lamar. The project follows 2025’s collaborative album Some Sexy Songs 4 U with PARTYNEXTDOOR.
Promotion for ICEMAN has unfolded through a cinematic series of livestreams that double as short films. The rollout began with Iceman: Episode 1, which saw Drake driving an ICEMAN-branded truck through Toronto before debuting the single “What Did I Miss?” The track quickly became his biggest hit of 2025. Subsequent episodes expanded the narrative, introducing surreal visuals and the recurring Pinocchio figure, widely interpreted as a symbol of lies and public scrutiny surrounding Drake in the aftermath of his feud.
So far, ICEMAN has delivered several singles, including “Which One” featuring Central Cee and “Dog House” with Yeat and Julia Wolf.
