Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” has extended its historic run at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, spending a 19th total week atop the chart. The milestone puts Langley’s breakout hit in a three-way tie for the longest-running No. 1 in Hot 100 history among non-holiday songs.
The latest chart achievement places “Choosin’ Texas” alongside Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” and Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road,” featuring Billy Ray Cyrus, which each spent 19 weeks at No. 1. Only Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” with 22 weeks at the summit, has lasted longer overall.
Ella Langley’s single first reached No. 1 in February 2026 and has since become one of the defining crossover hits of the year. Its combination of country radio strength, streaming performance and sales has allowed “Choosin’ Texas” to maintain its grip on the Hot 100 months after its initial breakthrough.
The achievement also places Langley in rare company within the chart’s history, which dates back to August 1958. “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” reached its 19-week total in 2024, while “Old Town Road” accumulated the same number of weeks in 2019.
There is now just one week separating Ella Langley from an even more exclusive record. If “Choosin’ Texas” holds No. 1 for a 20th week, it would become the first non-holiday song in Billboard Hot 100 history to reach that mark, breaking away from the tie with “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” and “Old Town Road.”
Elsewhere on this week’s Hot 100, Stella Lefty’s “Boston” climbs from No. 4 to No. 2, establishing a new career high after previously peaking at No. 3. Taylor Swift’s “I Knew It, I Knew You” falls from No. 2 to No. 3 after opening its chart run with two weeks at No. 1 in June, while Morgan Wallen’s “Been by Now” slides from No. 3 to No. 4 after debuting at No. 2.
