Giulia Be has released the official music video for “grey zone,” one of the most emotionally exposed tracks from her new trilingual album GIULIA BE. Released on September 6, the black-and-white visual turns the song’s themes of romantic uncertainty and overthinking into a stark portrait of an internal unraveling.
“grey zone” begins quietly before expanding into an emotionally charged chorus, mirroring the anxiety of trying to understand mixed signals and constantly searching for meaning between the lines. Rather than presenting a conventional love story, the song captures the uncomfortable space between knowing something is wrong and not having enough clarity to walk away.

Shot entirely in black and white, the music video places Giulia alone inside a room covered with handwritten pages, Polaroid photographs and scattered notes. The setting resembles an investigation board, transforming her thoughts into a physical space where every lyric, memory and unanswered question appears to demand another explanation.
Giulia enters wearing a white tank top, shorts and an unbuttoned shirt, with wet hair adding to the stripped-back feeling of the visual. As the song intensifies, she moves through the room with choreography-driven gestures, pacing across the paper-covered floor, writing lyrics directly onto the walls and pulling strings attached to the board.
The visual increasingly reflects the feeling of being trapped inside your own thoughts. She tears apart pages, throws papers into the air and moves through the space with growing urgency, turning “grey zone” into something closer to an emotional performance piece than a traditional music video.
Near the end, Giulia kneels among the scattered papers before discovering a matchbox. She strikes a match and holds the flame as the screen fades to black, leaving the visual on an unresolved image that fits the song’s central tension: the search for clarity without an easy answer.
“grey zone” is track 20 on GIULIA BE, the 21-track self-titled album that brings together English, Spanish and Portuguese. The project was released in stages, beginning with GIULIA BE (español) on April 23 and GIULIA BE (português) on May 21 before the English chapter completed the full album on July 24.
Written entirely by Giulia, the record brings together songs created across several years, with some dating back nearly a decade and others finished within the five months before release. The English edition added “fool for love,” “poltergeist,” “no problem,” “girls just wanna,” “grey zone” and “closure,” alongside the previously released “911.”
