Gracie Abrams is offering fans a glimpse into the creative world shaping her upcoming third studio album. While attending Paris Fashion Week this week, the singer-songwriter spoke about her current musical influences.
On Tuesday (Jan. 27), Abrams appeared at the Chanel Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2026 show, one of the most anticipated events on the Paris fashion calendar. In an interview with NSS Magazine, the pop artist was asked which albums and artists have been inspiring her as she works on her next release. The question briefly caught her off guard.
“Oh my Lord. That is an unexpected ,” Abrams said, before revealing that her listening habits have recently shifted. “I’ve been listening to a lot of classical music.” She went on to cite composers and artists whose work spans generations and genres. Among them were Antonio Vivaldi, ambient pioneer Brian Eno, and Joni Mitchell, whom Abrams described as her “forever north star.” Though she stopped short of sharing specific details about the album’s sound or release timeline, Abrams closed the conversation on an optimistic note. “I’m excited for you to hear it,” she said.
The comments arrive during a period of steady momentum for the 26-year-old artist. In recent months, Abrams has openly teased new material across social media, repeatedly signaling that her next chapter is nearing completion. In November 2025, she told fans she “can’t wait” for them to hear the new songs, sparking renewed speculation around the long-anticipated project often referred to as “GA3.”
Her latest album, The Secret of Us, dropped in June 2024. The LP debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and spawned fan-favorite songs like “Risk,” “Close to You,” and “I Love You, I’m Sorry.”
Abrams has since confirmed that songs such as “I Told You Things” and the unreleased fan favorite “Death Wish” have become creative anchors for her next body of work.
