Hilary Duff is bringing her Christmas music era back with Holiday Things, a five-track holiday EP arriving Friday, October 23. The release includes “Last Christmas (Mine),” a new take on the Wham! holiday classic that Duff previously covered on her 2002 Christmas album Santa Claus Lane, connecting her latest release to one of the earliest chapters of her music career.
The EP features five songs: “All You Want for Christmas Is Me,” “Last Christmas (Mine),” “I Want (A Few Small Things),” “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” and “Guess It’s Christmas.” The project marks Hilary Duff’s return to holiday music more than two decades after Santa Claus Lane introduced her to Christmas album audiences.

Released October 15, 2002, through Buena Vista Records, Santa Claus Lane featured covers of seasonal favorites including “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town,” “Jingle Bell Rock,” “Wonderful Christmastime,” “Sleigh Ride” and “Last Christmas.” The album also included appearances by Christina Milian, Romeo Miller and Duff’s older sister, Haylie Duff. It peaked at No. 154 on the Billboard 200. The Recording Industry Association of America later certified it Gold for selling 500,000 copies.
The new EP arrives during a memorable year for Hilary Duff, who released Luck… or Something, her first full-length album in more than a decade, as part of her musical comeback. She also returned with “CATastrophe” on October 2 through Atlantic Records, a song written with Matthew Koma, Madison Love and Brian Phillips for Warner Bros. Pictures Animation’s upcoming The Cat in the Hat. The song is set to feature on The Cat in the Hat (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack), due October 30, ahead of the film’s theatrical and IMAX release on November 6.
