Taylor Swift closed out 2025 with a powerful reminder that her influence extends far beyond charts and sold-out stadiums. In December, the global superstar quietly carried out a wide-reaching holiday giving initiative, donating to seven charitable organizations across the United States.

Two of the donations were disclosed in full and immediately drew national attention. Swift gave $1 million to Feeding America, the largest hunger-relief organization in the U.S., which supports a nationwide network of food banks. The organization highlighted the gift as a meaningful statement during the holiday season, when food insecurity often peaks. Feeding America publicly thanked Swift, noting that the donation would help provide millions of meals to families in need.

She also donated $1 million to the American Heart Association, a contribution made in honor of her father, Scott Swift. Earlier in 2025, he underwent quintuple bypass heart surgery, a personal experience that Swift referenced through the organization’s messaging. The American Heart Association confirmed the donation and emphasized its importance in advancing cardiovascular research, prevention, and education.

Beyond those headline-making gifts, Swift supported five additional organizations with undisclosed but widely described “generous” contributions. Among them was MusiCares, the Recording Academy–affiliated charity that assists music industry professionals facing medical, mental health, or financial hardships. Swift has long been a supporter of MusiCares, and her December donation reinforced her ongoing commitment to the wellbeing of fellow artists and crew members.

She also donated to ACM Lifting Lives, the philanthropic arm of the Academy of Country Music, which provides support to musicians and industry workers during health or economic crises. Similarly, Swift contributed to the CMA Foundation, which focuses on funding music education programs in public schools. Both organizations publicly thanked her while respecting her decision to keep the amounts private.

Another recipient was Operation Breakthrough, a Kansas City–based nonprofit that provides education, childcare, and family support services to children living in poverty. The organization serves more than 750 students and families each year.

Finally, Swift donated to Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt in Nashville, a city that has long served as her creative home base. The contribution supported general hospital operations as well as the Adolescent and Young Adult Cancer Program. Hospital representatives praised the gift as impactful and deeply meaningful for patients and staff.

While exact figures were only confirmed for Feeding America and the American Heart Association, Swift’s December philanthropy reflects a deliberate and diverse approach to giving.

The giving spree capped off a year of historic success for Swift. Her album The Life of a Showgirl, released in October 2025, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with four million first-week units, the largest debut in U.S. history. The accompanying concert film dominated the box office, and the album’s tracks occupied the top twelve spots on the Billboard Hot 100. Against that backdrop, Swift’s holiday donations offered a quieter, but equally powerful, closing chapter to an extraordinary year.
