Hudson Stone is opening the next chapter of his career with “Talk,” his new single released Thursday, September 24 via Hollywood Records. The track follows his breakout debut “Overthinker,” which has surpassed 2.5 million streams.
Written by Stone alongside Josh Varnadore of OneRepublic, Coleton Rubin of OneRepublic and Simon Oscroft of almost monday and OneRepublic, “Talk” turns a complicated relationship into a direct reflection on communication, emotional distance and the difficulty of truly listening to someone you love.

Stone describes the song as being rooted in a relationship where communication became increasingly difficult. “Talk” explores the disconnect that can develop when one person feels they are giving everything emotionally but still struggles to feel heard, while the other side may not always be ready to listen to what is being said — or what is left unsaid.
That tension gives the song a relatable premise without losing the catchy songwriting that defined Stone’s introduction with “Overthinker.” His debut single has passed 2.5 million streams, building an early audience around a sound that blends contemporary indie with guitar-led rock and classic soul influences.
The new release arrives with a lyric video, while an official music video is also on the way. Hudson Stone is simultaneously taking the song from the studio to the stage, with “Talk” set to receive its live debut when the Worlds Collide Tour begins tonight at Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert, California.
