Roddy Ricch appears to be delaying The Navy Album once again, extending a pattern of repeated postponements that has now stretched nearly two years. The project, initially announced in May 2024 with a planned release date of December 6 that same year, has since been pushed back multiple times. The LP was expected to drop this Friday, giving fans hope, but the latest developments have sparked speculation that The Navy Album will be delayed yet again.

As of December 4, pre-save pages for The Navy Album have quietly disappeared from Apple Music and other major platforms, creating renewed uncertainty around a project already rescheduled six times. The album was previously moved from December 2024 to February 21, 2025, then to April 25, July 18, October 24, and December 5. Neither Ricch nor his team has issued a statement, leaving the status of the rollout unclear.

The Navy Album is expected to be released through Atlantic Records and Bird Vision Entertainment. Ricch previewed the project with two singles that hinted at a more introspective direction. “Survivor’s Remorse,” released in May 2024, arrived with a visually striking video rooted in religious themes and imagery tied to family and redemption. The follow-up, “Lonely Road,” dropped in December 2024.

The rapper has not released a full-length project since Live Life Fast in 2021, which debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200. In the years since, Ricch has kept a relatively low profile, appearing on scattered singles and features while shaping what many believed would be a career-defining return. However, the ongoing delays have tested the patience of listeners who have been waiting for a cohesive follow-up from an artist once positioned at the center of rap’s new wave.
