The Path to Raven

Isabel LaRosa released her debut single just four years ago. Then 16, the young singer unveiled three singles in 2021, including “16 Candles,” “Closer,” and “Gameboy.” A turning point arrived in late 2022, when she released “I’m Yours,” a single that quickly gained traction on TikTok, introducing her music to a wider audience. Her career significantly took off in 2024: she opened concerts for Nessa Barrett on her Young Forever Tour and released one of her biggest hits to date, “Favorite.” The song not only went viral on social media but also charted on the Billboard Global 200, peaking at No. 120. In February 2025, Isabel officially announced her debut album, Raven.

Themes

In Raven, Isabel LaRosa explores her feelings during the passage from adolescence to adulthood, reflecting on self-discovery and change. In an official press release, she explained the meaning of the title: “The album title Raven represents something deeply personal to me. I’ve been obsessed with ravens and crows since I was little. Raven to me feels like it captures the feeling of the album—dark and moody, while still maintaining a personal and emotional aspect. It feels like a perfect representation of me.
