A new global football anthem has arrived ahead of the biggest sporting event on the calendar. Coca-Cola has officially unveiled a reimagined version of the classic Van Halen song “Jump,” performed by J Balvin and Amber Mark, with contributions from guitar virtuoso Steve Vai and drummer-producer Travis Barker. The track is released via Real Thing Records in partnership with Capitol Records and serves as the new Coca-Cola anthem for the FIFA World Cup 2026.

The updated version of the 1980s hit pays tribute to the instantly recognizable energy of the original by Van Halen while pushing the sound firmly into the present. The iconic synth line and explosive guitar elements remain intact, but the production now leans into modern pop, Latin rhythms and stadium-ready percussion.

For Balvin, whose career has helped bring Latin music to a worldwide audience, the collaboration reflects the communal spirit that surrounds the sport. “Music for me has always been about bringing people from different countries and cultures together—and ‘JUMP’ is all about that shared energy,” the Colombian superstar said.

Amber Mark approached the project with similar reverence. The singer-songwriter acknowledged the enduring cultural impact of the original track, calling it a rare song that transcends generations. “I’m excited to be part of a track that connects past and present in such an uplifting, powerful way, and I hope fans feel that energy for years to come.”

The anthem arrives through Coca-Cola’s Real Thing Records initiative, a global label launched in 2025 to expand the brand’s long-standing connection to music. Over the decades, the company has repeatedly tied its campaigns to major sporting moments, often producing songs that become closely associated with the World Cup itself.

“Jump” continues that tradition. Previous Coca-Cola anthems include “Wavin’ Flag” by K’naan in 2010, “The World Is Ours” by David Correy in 2014, “Colors” by Jason Derulo in 2018 and a reimagined take on “A Kind of Magic” by Queen released in 2022. Notably, Coca-Cola has been an official sponsor of the FIFA World Cup since 1978, making the partnership one of the longest-running commercial relationships in global sport.

Alongside the single, an animated music video premiered on MTV Live, MTVU and digital billboards in Times Square. The visual, designed by creative director McFlyy, features stylized animated versions of the artists performing the track. Spanish football prodigy Lamine Yamal also appears in animated form.

The song is available now on major streaming platforms.
