Justin Bieber could be headed back to one of the world’s biggest stages. According to TMZ, the pop superstar is in talks to perform during the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final, potentially joining an already star-studded entertainment lineup for the historic championship event on July 19.

If finalized, the appearance would add another major live performance to Bieber’s comeback year following his record-breaking return at Coachella 2026. Neither FIFA nor Bieber’s representatives have publicly confirmed the report.

The FIFA World Cup Final, taking place at New York New Jersey Stadium, will feature the tournament’s first-ever halftime show, a Super Bowl-inspired production curated by Coldplay frontman Chris Martin. FIFA previously announced that Madonna, Shakira and BTS will headline the halftime spectacle, while additional appearances from Sesame Street and The Muppets characters, including Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy, have also been confirmed.

TMZ’s report does not specify what role Bieber would play if an agreement is reached. It remains unclear whether he would join the halftime show, appear elsewhere during the broadcast, or take part in another performance connected to the final.

The timing aligns with growing signs that Bieber is preparing for a larger return to live performances. Earlier this week, fans discovered that the official tour section of his website had quietly been updated, sparking widespread speculation that a new world tour announcement could be approaching.

Such a tour would mark his first since the Justice World Tour, which launched in February 2022 before being canceled the following year after Bieber prioritized his recovery from Ramsay Hunt syndrome.

Momentum has continued to build throughout 2026. Bieber’s Coachella headlining performance became the festival’s most-watched set ever, generating 147 million global YouTube views. The concert later arrived on streaming services as SWAG LIVE FROM COACHELLA (WEEKEND I), featuring guest appearances from The Kid Laroi, Tems, Wizkid, Dijon and Mk.gee.

Commercially, the performance also reignited his catalog. Bieber surpassed 105 million Spotify streams in a single day on April 15, setting a new personal record before accumulating 431 million streams across the week. Seven of his albums simultaneously charted on the Billboard 200, while 21 songs entered Spotify’s Global Top 200.

The FIFA World Cup has increasingly embraced global music as part of its identity. The opening ceremony in Los Angeles featured performances from Katy Perry, LISA, Tyla, Future, Anitta and Rema, while Shakira’s official tournament anthem “Dai Dai” has become one of the event’s defining songs, climbing streaming charts throughout the competition.
