KATSEYE continues its WILD era with the release of the music video for “Animal,” a cinematic visual packed with striking choreography, bold fashion, and a surprise appearance from Demi Moore. Released on July 24 alongside the group’s new song, the video immediately ignited fan discussion thanks to its high-budget production and standout vocal performances.
Serving as a single from KATSEYE’s third EP WILD, arriving August 14 via HYBE x Geffen Records, “Animal” presents a confident, flirtatious pop anthem about embracing one’s uninhibited side. Co-written by Ed Sheeran and produced by hitmakers Omer Fedi and Blake Slatkin, the track balances infectious hooks with punchy production while giving Sophia, Lara, Daniela, Megan, and Yoonchae room to showcase their vocals.
Directed by Cody Critcheloe, who previously helmed the group’s “Touch” and “Gnarly” visuals, the nearly three-minute video embraces a glossy, red-lit aesthetic inspired by observation rooms, mirrored realities, and shifting identities. Creative direction from Humberto Leon and visual direction by João Moraes elevate the project into one of KATSEYE’s most ambitious productions to date, blending surreal imagery with cinematic storytelling.
Performance remains at the center of the visual, but the narrative unfolds through playful group dynamics rather than traditional romance. The members move between feminine and masculine archetypes while navigating chaotic wardrobe battles, dramatic choreography, and polished performance sequences. Smooth transitions, including memorable handoffs between Lara and Sophia, keep the momentum constant, while polished visual effects reinforce the video’s mysterious atmosphere.
Later, Academy Award-nominated actress Demi Moore makes a surprise cameo, bringing another layer of Hollywood prestige to the production. The appearance continues KATSEYE’s growing tradition of collaborating with major stars, following Jessica Alba’s role in the 2025 music video for “Gabriela.”
