KATSEYE have officially announced their next chapter. The rising act will release their new EP WILD on August 14, with pre-saves now live across streaming platforms. News of the project arrives just days before their second weekend performance at Coachella 2026, extending a breakout month.
Momentum has been building quickly. On April 9, the group previewed the era with “Pinky Up,” a high-energy single that debuted with 7.261 million YouTube views in its first 24 hours and opened at No. 83 on Spotify’s Daily Global chart despite limited tracking time. Days later, the track surged into the platform’s top 20, fueled in part by the group’s viral Coachella debut on April 10, where they delivered a tightly choreographed 45-minute set at the Sahara Stage.
That performance marked a turning point. Midway through the show, KATSEYE brought out EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami for a surprise rendition of “Golden,” tied to the fictional group HUNTR/X from the Oscar-winning animated film K-Pop Demon Hunters. Clips from the moment quickly circulated online, helping amplify a setlist that already included “Debut,” “Internet Girl,” “Gabriela,” and “Gnarly.” Earlier this year, “Internet Girl” peaked at No. 13 on Spotify’s Daily Global chart after debuting at No. 29 on the Billboard Hot 100.
The WILD announcement also follows months of teasing. During a February appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, all six members described their upcoming material as “colorful,” “energetic,” “hot,” “fun,” and “fierce,” hinting at a continuation of the bold pop identity introduced on 2025’s Beautiful Chaos. That EP debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200, driven by tracks like “Gnarly” and “Gabriela,” and established the group as a serious chart force early in their career.
Questions around the lineup remain part of the conversation. Manon’s ongoing absence has not been formally resolved, though the group has continued performing as a five-member unit, with Sophia Laforteza, Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, Megan Skiendiel, and Yoonchae carrying recent stages.
