KATSEYE are heading into the biggest moment of their career with a piece of advice from someone who understands their path better than most. In a new interview with Complex, the rising global girl group opened up about the guidance they received from Camila Cabello — a fellow artist who, like them, launched her career within a high-pressure, fast-moving girl group environment.

We met Camila Cabello — she’s the sweetest person in the world and she’s like our big sister,” the group shared. “She just gave us one piece of advice because, obviously, she was part of a girl group. She said that communication is everything, and a lot of people tell us that communication is really important and that it’s essential to be open and honest with each other.”

Cabello, who rose to fame as a member of Fifth Harmony before becoming a chart-topping solo star, knows well the challenges and rewards that come with balancing individual identity within a collective. Her words arrive at a pivotal moment for KATSEYE, who are navigating the pressures of success as they transition from emerging act to global breakthrough.

That breakthrough crystallized this year with Beautiful Chaos, the group’s second EP and a defining release in their fast-growing catalog. Issued on June 27 through HYBE, UMG, and Geffen Records, the project captures KATSEYE’s sharpened sound and rising confidence. Its lead single “Gnarly” delivered the group’s first entry on the Billboard Hot 100, while the Latin-inspired “Gabriela” quickly became their most explosive hit to date. Fueled by vibrant production and magnetic choreography, “Gabriela” has amassed millions of daily streams and became a standout moment at major festivals, including Lollapalooza last summer.

Beautiful Chaos marked another milestone when it entered the Billboard 200 as the group’s first top-ten project. Now, KATSEYE prepare to launch their first headlining tour, the Beautiful Chaos Tour, which kicks off tonight.
